5 kinds of dinosaur have been found in Chile, from 5 recorded finds in the Paleobiology Database. The best known are Stegouros, Chilesaurus and Gonkoken.

Most of the fossils come from the Dorotea Formation, the Hornitos Formation, the Tolar Formation and the Toqui Formation.
