14 kinds of dinosaur have been found in Mexico, from 20 recorded finds in the Paleobiology Database. The best known are Labocania, Xenovenator and Magnapaulia.

Most of the fossils come from the Cerro del Pueblo Formation, the El Gallo Formation, the Cutzamala Formation, the Pen Formation and the La Bocana Roja Formation.
