About Cetiosaurus
Cetiosaurus was a plant-eating sauropod that lived in the Middle Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, 168 to 121 million years ago.
The Paleobiology Database lists 25 finds of Cetiosaurus, from United Kingdom and Morocco. One find has also been reported from France. Its fossils come from rocks including the El Mers Formation, the Chipping Norton Limestone Formation and the Wessex Formation. It was named by Owen in 1841.
