Claosaurus was a plant-eating ornithopod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 90 to 72 million years ago.
The Paleobiology Database lists 3 finds of Claosaurus, from Kansas, Montana and South Dakota. Its fossils come from rocks including the Pierre Shale Formation and the Niobrara Formation. It was named by Marsh in 1890.
