About Gyposaurus
Gyposaurus was a plant-eating early sauropodomorph that lived in the Early Jurassic, 201 to 175 million years ago. It belongs to the family Anchisauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 9 finds of Gyposaurus, from China. Its fossils come from rocks including the Lufeng Formation and the Zhenzhuchong Formation. It was named by Broom in 1911.
