14 kinds of dinosaur have been found in Russia, from 28 recorded finds in the Paleobiology Database. The best known are Psittacosaurus, Olorotitan and Kulindadromeus.

Most of the fossils come from the Ilek Formation, the Ukureyskaya Formation, the Udurchukan Formation, the Itat Formation and the Murtoi Formation.
