5 kinds of dinosaur have been found in Uruguay, from 7 recorded finds in the Paleobiology Database. The best known are Torvosaurus, Antarctosaurus and Aeolosaurus.

Most of the fossils come from the Tacuarembó Formation, the Asencio Formation and the Guichón Formation.
