Masiakasaurus was a meat-eating theropod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 72 to 66 million years ago. It belongs to the family Noasauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 29 finds of Masiakasaurus, from Madagascar. Its fossils come from the Maevarano Formation. It was named by Sampson et al. in 2001.
