Segnosaurus was a plant-eating theropod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 101 to 84 million years ago. It belongs to the family Therizinosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 5 finds of Segnosaurus, from Mongolia and Japan. Its fossils come from rocks including the Baynshire Formation and the Jobu Formation. It was named by Perle in 1979.
