How to play
Click or tap the game, then press Space, the Up arrow or tap to jump. Hold the Down arrow, or swipe down on a phone, to duck under low-flying pterosaurs. The run speeds up as you go.
Every thousand points you move forward in time: the scenery changes from the Triassic to the Jurassic and then the Cretaceous. Near the end an asteroid appears in the sky. Keep running past it to win.
The real story
You run as a small feathered theropod, a relative of Velociraptor and the ancestors of birds. The pterosaurs you duck under shared the skies with dinosaurs, but they were not dinosaurs themselves.
The asteroid is real too. It struck what is now Mexico 66 million years ago and ended the age of dinosaurs. The only dinosaurs to survive were birds, so in a way their relatives are still running today.
