Alectrosaurus was a meat-eating theropod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 101 to 72 million years ago.
The Paleobiology Database lists 5 finds of Alectrosaurus, from Uzbekistan and China. Its fossils come from rocks including the Bissekty Formation, the Iren Dabasu Formation and the Khodzhakul Formation. It was named by Gilmore in 1933.
