Loricatosaurus was a plant-eating stegosaur that lived in the Middle Jurassic, 165 to 162 million years ago. It belongs to the family Stegosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 2 finds of Loricatosaurus, from France and United Kingdom. Its fossils come from rocks including the Marnes à Belemnopsis latesulcatus Formation and the Oxford Clay Formation. It was named by Maidment et al. in 2008.
