About Mantellisaurus
Mantellisaurus was a plant-eating ornithopod that lived in the Early Cretaceous, 143 to 120 million years ago.
The Paleobiology Database lists 13 finds of Mantellisaurus, from United Kingdom and Spain. A few finds have also been reported from Belgium, France, Portugal and Romania. Its fossils come from rocks including the Wessex Formation, the Arcillas de Morella Formation and the Calcaires à Spatangues Formation. It was named by Paul in 2007.
