Coelurus was a meat-eating theropod that lived in the Late Jurassic to Early Cretaceous, 155 to 143 million years ago.
The Paleobiology Database lists 8 finds of Coelurus, from Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. Its fossils come from the Morrison Formation. It was named by Marsh in 1879.
