Nigersaurus was a plant-eating sauropod that lived in the Early Cretaceous, 121 to 101 million years ago. It belongs to the family Rebbachisauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 3 finds of Nigersaurus, from Niger. Its fossils come from the Elrhaz Formation. It was named by Sereno et al. in 1999.
