About Telmatosaurus
Telmatosaurus was a plant-eating ornithopod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 72 to 66 million years ago. It belongs to the family Telmatosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 20 finds of Telmatosaurus, from Romania. One find has also been reported from France. Its fossils come from rocks including the Sînpetru Formation, the Densuș-Ciula Formation and the Sebeş Formation. It was named by Nopcsa in 1903.
