About Struthiosaurus
Struthiosaurus was a plant-eating ankylosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 84 to 66 million years ago. It belongs to the family Nodosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 16 finds of Struthiosaurus, from Austria, Romania and Spain. One find has also been reported from France. Its fossils come from rocks including the Grünbach Formation, the Coal-Bearing Complex Formation and the Râul Mare Formation. It was named by Bunzel in 1870.
