Avimimus was an omnivorous theropod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 84 to 66 million years ago.

The Paleobiology Database lists 8 finds of Avimimus, from Alberta. Its fossils come from rocks including the Nemegt Formation, the Baruungoyot Formation and the Dinosaur Park Formation. It was named by Kurzanov in 1981.
