About Bagaceratops

Bagaceratops was a plant-eating ceratopsian that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 84 to 72 million years ago. It belongs to the family Protoceratopsidae.

The Paleobiology Database lists 16 finds of Bagaceratops, from Mongolia and China. Its fossils come from rocks including the Baruungoyot Formation, the Djadokhta Formation and the Bayan Mandahu Formation. It was named by Maryanska and Osmólska in 1975.
