About Sphaerotholus
Sphaerotholus was a plant-eating pachycephalosaur that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 84 to 66 million years ago. It belongs to the family Pachycephalosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 5 finds of Sphaerotholus, from Alberta, Montana and New Mexico. Its fossils come from rocks including the Hell Creek Formation, the Dinosaur Park Formation and the Kirtland Formation. It was named by Williamson and Carr in 2003.
