About Saurornitholestes
Saurornitholestes was a meat-eating theropod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 84 to 66 million years ago. It belongs to the family Dromaeosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 124 finds of Saurornitholestes, from Alberta, Wyoming and Montana. Its fossils come from rocks including the Dinosaur Park Formation, the Oldman Formation and the Ferris Formation. It was named by Sues in 1978.
