About Gryposaurus
Gryposaurus was a plant-eating ornithopod that lived in the Late Cretaceous, 84 to 72 million years ago. It belongs to the family Hadrosauridae.
The Paleobiology Database lists 16 finds of Gryposaurus, from Alberta, Montana and Utah. Its fossils come from rocks including the Dinosaur Park Formation, the Kaiparowits Formation and the Two Medicine Formation. It was named by Lambe in 1914.
